Male Models Agency – Preparing for A Go-See

The modeling industry today is not as narrow as it was before. Nowadays, everyone can model – tall girls, petite girls, plus-size girls, old people, babies and even the male population have taken over the world of modeling – Google “male models agency” and you’ll find thousands of them!

To become a model, people would have to go to go-sees. A go-see is an opportunity for models or aspiring models to be represented by a modeling agency or be booked for projects. A model can only have a few moments to impress agents during go-sees so it’s very important to prepare for them.

1. Sleep Well, Drink More

Having a clear complexion is important for a model because it usually tells agents how naturally good-looking you are without make up. Let’s face it – male models can’t wear as much make-up as female models can. At least 8 glasses of water and at least 8 hours of sleep can help give your skin a youthful glow. The average male adult is required to sleep at least 8 hours. Some people can get by with 7 hours or 6, but having full 8 hours of sleep usually results to better condition of your skin. Plus, it helps you think better the day after – good-looking and witty? I doubt any male models agency would turn you down.

2. Portfolio, Portfolio, Portfolio

Forgot your portfolio? Then forget being booked. A portfolio shows agents the range of your modeling skills, the things you can do and the different looks that you can rock. It is a determinant as to whether or not you are right for their agency or project and if you don’t have it with you during a go-see, chances are, they will never book you. Prepare your portfolio the night before – put it inside your bag or car so you won’t forget it.

3. Clothes to Wear

Initially, agents want to see you in your most basic and natural look. So no, you don’t need to wear a tuxedo. Just a clean white shirt and jeans would be fine. Choose those that are form-fitting and flattering.

Every male models agency has its own standards when it comes to models that they represent. To broaden your chances of getting represented, do some research. Find out which agencies take male models your size, height, look, ethnicity and more. With any luck, you’d be nailing go-sees sooner than you expect.
